Brooklyn Dog Meets The Wild …Of New Jersey

Phew! It’s been a long week and today was the perfect day of rest with my best girl and guy! We packed up the car and left Brooklyn for a great hike through Round Valley Reservoir situated in Lebanon, NJ.

We've gone to where the wild things are.

We've gone to where the wild things are.

As Lucy loves to go hiking, we try to go as often as possible (which is not nearly as often as we’d prefer). Though Prospect Park is great for our daily walks, there really isn’t anything like getting lost in the woods. A lot of my Brooklyn dog training clients feel the same way. For my Manhattan training clients, unless they live near Central Park, there really isn’t much to hike through except for the concrete jungle. A lot of them have asked me about the trails that we like to hit. Check out this link for great places to explore with your dog. Our favorites include Bear Mountain (NY), Clarence Fahnestock Park (NY), Watchung Reservation (NJ), and of course, Round Valley Reservoir (NJ).
